This year, LungMAP Principal Investigator, Naftali Kaminiski, from Yale School of Medicine is receiving an important honor from the ATS Assembly on Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology. The Andy Tager Award is given to a scientist for Excellence in Mentoring others in the field. Named after Dr. Andy Tager, known for his discovery of bioactive lipids as potential targets of therapy in interstitial pulmonary fibrosis and for taking his work from bench to bedside, this award honors the scientist who has embraced throughout his career the ideal of mentorship. Dr. Kaminski is recognized widely by his colleagues as a role model for his scientific contributions and for providing steadfast support and encouragement. Please join us in congratulating Naftali!
